Do customers need to re-enter their address or phone for the upsell?
No — that's the whole point. The upsell is presented after the order is placed, so all customer details are already captured. One tap adds the product and updates the existing order with no friction at all.
Does the upsell create a separate Shopify order?
No. Accepted upsells are appended to the original order as additional line items. You fulfil one order per customer — no splitting, no double courier bookings.
Can I set different upsells for different products?
Yes. You can configure upsell offers at the product or collection level, so a buyer who ordered a skincare product sees a relevant skincare upsell — not a generic recommendation.
What's the difference between an upsell and a downsell?
An upsell is shown first — typically a complementary or higher-value product. If the buyer declines, a downsell fires automatically — a smaller, cheaper, or different variant that still adds to AOV. Together they form a two-step funnel.
Are upsells available on the free plan?
Yes — post-purchase upsells and downsells are included on all plans including Free (within the 200-order/month limit). Bundle offers are available on Basic and Pro plans.
